Tryphena Wade is a versatile artist from Columbus, Ohio, and a proud graduate of Howard University. Her 20+ year career includes Broadway, regional and international theatre, national commercials, and work on TV and film. She's a self-published author (The Heart Works: A Collection) and the writer, producer, and star of two festival shorts, "Dear Carefree Black Girl" and "Solomon’s Mood". Tryphena is also a Certified Life Coach and creator and host of Fearless Fridays, a YouTube series of 100+ episodes. Most recently, Tryphena completed Season 1 of the forthcoming series “The Promised Land”, a comedy series based on the book of Exodus. For 10 years, Tryphena appeared as Queen Sarabi in Disney's The Lion King. Currently, Tryphena is the standby for Mama Rose in Gypsy on Broadway.
