About

The party's roaring on Broadway! Starring Jeremy Jordan (_Newsies_) as Jay Gatsby and Eva Noblezada (_Hadestown_) as Daisy Buchanan, _The Great Gatsby_ is a “great, big Broadway extravaganza that explodes with life and energy” (_Entertainment Weekly_).
Directed by Marc Bruni (_Beautiful: The Carole King Musical_), this story of extravagance and longing features choreography by Dominique Kelley (_So You Think You Can Dance_), a book by Kait Kerrigan (_The Mad Ones_) and a jazz- and pop-influenced original score by Jason Howland (_Little Women_) and Nathan Tysen (_Paradise Square_).

Broadway Theatre

The Broadway Theatre, one of the few playhouses fronting the street named Broadway, opened in 1924 as B.S. Moss's Colony Theatre, primarily showcasing motion pictures. Notably, it premiered Walt Disney's Steamboat Willie in 1928, introducing audiences to Mickey Mouse. Transitioning to live performances in 1930, it was renamed the Broadway Theatre. The venue briefly returned to film exhibition in the 1930s and 1950s but has predominantly hosted theatrical productions. Designed by architect Eugene De Rosa, the theatre features a spacious interior with a seating capacity of approximately 1,760, making it one of Broadway's largest venues. Its versatile stage has accommodated a diverse array of productions, contributing to its enduring legacy in New York City's theatre scene.
